The 2017 Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 Roadster is more than just a completely redesigned sport convertible from the company who invented the automobile. It ushers in an equally new nomenclature for the previous SLK model and in particular, raises the bar with V6 biturbo technology replacing the previous SLK 55 V8.
Power comes in the form of a 3.0-litre powerplant that delivers 362 horsepower at 5,500-6,000 rpm and 384 lb-ft of torque at 2,000-4,200 rpm. Matched to a 9G-TRONIC sport transmission, the SLC 43 Roadster accelerates from 0-100 km/h in approximately 4.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h.

To further enhance the drive, a DYNAMIC SELECT transmission offers 5 unique modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Individual. This is paired with the exhaust to deliver a quiet performance in Eco and Comfort, or thunderous notes when in Sport or Sport +.

Redesigned front and rear axles with new elastokinematics, plus new mountings for the engine and rear gear unit boosts the pavement grabbing capabilities of this fun-to-drive, open-top, two-seater sports car. The optional Handling package adds a mechanical limited-slip differential on the rear axle and high-performance brakes feature larger discs at all four corners. The intent is to conquer the open road while delivering improved fuel economy with V6 biturbo power.
Inside, black Nappa leather combines with DINAMICA microfiber to provide exceptionally comfortable seating. Red stitching and piping on the seats increases the desirability factor. The instrument cluster features a chequered flag design, while the steering wheel offers multi-function controls and perforated Nappa leather with microfiber side grips. Harmon/kardon provides the audio sounds and for that extra touch, ambient lighting is available in solar red, polar blue or polar white.
