Fresh Range Rovers Ready To Order
Land Rover is currently taking orders for both the 2023 P440e Extended-Range Plug-in Hybrid and the flagship SV models.
The former features near-silent pure electric operation for a maximum 77 kilometres on a full charge. Offering 50-kilowatt DC rapid charging capability, the battery can be topped up to 80 per cent in less than an hour. Both standard and long wheelbase versions are available providing seating for four, five or seven passengers.
On the other side of the spectrum is the grade-topping SV showcasing the ultimate level of luxury and customization. The vehicle wears a special front bumper, five-bar grille, badging and optional 23-inch directional tri-finish alloy wheels on the outside, while boasting exclusive materials like plated metals, smooth ceramics, sustainably sourced woods and ultra-soft leather on the inside. A 523-horseopwer twin-turbocharged V8 is standard in Canada.
Prices range from $131,100 to $242,100.
Jeep Announces Pricing For Electrified Grand Cherokee
The Wrangler 4xe was first on the scene, and shortly joining the green ranks at Stellantis is the Grand Cherokee 4xe. This full-size plug-in hybrid — packing a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and two electric motors — can travel an estimated 25 kilometres sans gasoline and fuel economy is rated at a approximately 4.1 Le/100 km.
As always, a number of trims will be sold including Overland, balancing daily driving creature comforts with a complement of traction-enhancing equipment, to the most rugged Trailhawk bundling Selec-Speed Control autonomous off-road driving assist, rear electronic limited-slip differential, sway bar disconnect and more.

Buick Enclave Gets A Makeover
General Motors has face-lifted its luxury mid-size SUV for the 2022 model year and the changes are plentiful.
On the technology tip wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is being introduced, finally eliminating the need for users to plug in USB and Lightning cables to pair their mobile devices. Higher Premium and Avenir examples receive a head-up display. All Enclaves now benefit from automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision alert, lane departure warning and keep assist, among others.
