Are you one of the 200,000 global owners of a Jaguar Land Rover product equipped with the Pivi Pro infotainment system? If so, after the latest over-the-air update (or purchase of a new model) Amazon’s beloved voice assistant will be able to help occupants execute voice commands like, “Alexa, navigate me home,” and, “Alexa, show me the nearby coffee shops.”
The novel service isn’t restricted to in-vehicle operation either — by enabling the Jaguar and Land Rover Remote Skill, users may interact with their car or SUV remotely on any compatible device like an Echo or the Alexa mobile app. For example, check the charge level, confirm whether the doors are locked or precondition the cabin climate.
2023 Chevrolet Blazer
Chevrolet is blazing ahead to 2023, revealing some mid-cycle changes for the Blazer. The crossover wears fresh LED head and tail lamps, and a slightly more aggressive black mesh grill that now connects to the larger foglight bezels. Inside, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display is being made standard across all four trims (LT, True North, RS and Premier) and wireless charging is bundled in on the latter two and available for the others.
We’re also eagerly awaiting manufacturer shots of a Nightshift Blue interior upholstery option offered on the sporty RS grade. No powertrain changes are reported, meaning consumers can still choose between either a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 3.6-litre naturally aspirated V6.
“Built To Serve”
While it might prove challenging for a civilian to purchase a first responder vehicle, the Ram 1500 “Built to Serve Edition” trucks could be the next best thing. Honouring fire fighters, police officers and emergency medical service providers, each version feature unique two-tone paintjobs — the firefighter-inspired model is sprayed in both Redline and Diamond Black — special rear quarter panel decaling, 20-inch Technical grey alloy wheels and black accenting.
Like their field counterparts, these pickups are designed to go anywhere. Equipped with the 4×4 Off-Road Group package, all-terrain tires, electronic-locking rear axle, skid plates, tow hooks and heavy duty shock absorbers, among others, are included. Production starts this month in Michigan and expected to grace showroom floors later this year.
