Land Rover Defender Trophy Edition
Next month, Land Rover is releasing an ultra-limited Defender Trophy Edition, paying tribute to the vehicle’s legacy of expedition, coinciding with an exclusive competition held at the automaker’s Experience Centre in Manchester, Vermont.
Based on the 2023 Defender 90 P400 X-Dynamic SE, it is wrapped in a throwback yellow colour and features black exterior trim, tow hitch receiver, air suspension, roof rack, deployable ladder, electronic winch, and other off-road goodies.
Buyers of one of the 250 units reserved for the U.S. and Canada receive a two-person entry to the event held on Oct. 8, 2022. Up to 90 teams are set to face a number of on and off-road challenges that include physical and team-building obstacles. Coaching will be provided. Visit the website to learn more.
2023 Dodge Hornet
Stellantis calls its latest Dodge Hornet a “gateway” to joining the Brotherhood of Muscle family, and is being billed as “the quickest, fastest, most powerful compact utility vehicle under $40,000.”
The small SUV comes in two flavours: an R/T plug-in hybrid — which is the first electrified performance product offered by the company — boasting 50 kilometres of zero emissions travel, as well as a GT version, utilizing a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, developing 265 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The underlying platform is shared with the Alfa Romeo Tonale.
Familiar Dodge styling cues are present like the hood vents, “mail slot” grille and full-width LED taillamps. The GT arrives first in Q4 of this year, and the R/T in spring of 2023.
Ford Bronco Heritage Editions
The blue oval brand is celebrating the original 1966 Bronco via the introduction of some new special models available across the lineup.
Two and four-door Heritage Editions wear a two-tone paint job, the roof sprayed in signature Oxford White providing a retro aesthetic. The colour is also found on the matching grille housing a spelled-out “FORD” emblem in Race Red, the 17-inch aluminum wheels and a pinstripe running down the side. There also a Limited variant swapping in black “dog dish” wheels and an Oxford White Bumper Lip.
Bronco Sports may be a newer addition to the family but nonetheless can be ordered with either of the two packages. All Heritage interiors have plaid cloth seats, exclusive badging and other unique details.
