INEOS Fusilier
The UK’s newest manufacturer, INEOS Automotive, has just revealed its third model: the Fusilier.
Smaller than the flagship Grenadier, this 4X4 will come in both fully electric and gasoline range-extender flavours and is designed to offer a greener off-roading option. Jointly developed with Austrian vehicle assembler Magna Steyr, the SUV is built on a modular skateboard platform boasting a steel underbody and aluminum doors. The Samsung-provided batteries are expected to give the EV version a total travel distance of around 322 kilometres.

Rivian R2 and R3
After much anticipation, Rivian unveiled a mid-size platform underpinning the forthcoming R2 and R3 zero emissions crossovers.
The R2 features an interesting rear window that drops down to accommodate carrying larger cargo, and together with pop-out rear quarter windows allows an open-air driving experience. The R3 has a slightly smaller footprint and is also going to be sold in a performance R3X variant. Customers can choose from three different motor layouts and two battery sizes, the larger of the latter yielding 480-plus kilometres of range on a single charge.
Orders are open now for the R2, priced at $45,000 USD, expected to launch in mid 2026. The R3 will be priced lower and set to arrive at a later date.
2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV
Introducing North America’s first production plug-in hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle: the Honda CR-V e:FCEV.
Combining conventional EV and hydrogen technologies, drivers may plug into a charging station and subsequently travel up to 47 kilometers on electricity alone, or a maximum 435 kilometres when combined with a full tank of hydrogen as well. The single motor sends 174 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque to the front axle only.
Styling-wise similar to the regular turbo and hybrid variants from the B pillar back, the e:FCEV sports a slimmer grille, big air intakes and long hood. A fully-covered underbody and chin spoiler increase aerodynamics. California residents get the initial crack at a lease before the end of the year.
2025 Chevrolet Equinox
Chevy’s popular compact SUV is about to enter its fourth generation, and the rugged redesign has the crossover looking like a shrunken-down Traverse.
The Equinox is 2.3-inches wider than the outgoing example and, like the Traverse, incorporates squared-off wheel arches. A new ACTIV trim wears a unique metallic-finish grille, black badging, 17-inch machine-faced alloys, vegan Evotex upholstery and a Maple Sugar/Black interior colour scheme.
Under the hood, a 175-horsepower 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard in Canada.
2024 Ford E-Transit
Entering a decade of production, Canada’s best-selling commercial van the Ford Transit receives some enhancements to the electric lineup.
Low-roof E-Transit cargo vans get a 26 per cent boost in range for the 2024 model year, rated at approximately 254 kilometres, thanks to a more usable energy available (89-kilowatt hours total). Output remains at 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Level 2 and 3 charging is supported, up to a peak 176 kilowatts. Connected to the former, going from 0 to 100 per cent takes just over six hours, which is considerably faster than previously.
Starting MSRP is $73,690 with orders beginning in the spring.
