Ducati Pangiale V4 S gets Lambo’d

Ducati Pangiale V4 Lamborghini

If nothing else, Lamborghini knows how to builg’em bright, and build’em loud. We’re no just talking about their cars and SUVs here, either; anything Lambo’s centro stile has touched – from record players to boats – will always have that flair that we’ve come to expect from the brand. Indeed, a tour around the studio – as we were graciously provided by Lamborghini last year – shows that the brand has grown by leaps and bounds in the world of design.

And so it goes with their third collaboration with Italian motorcycle builder, Ducati: the Panigale V4 Lamborghini, a cross between the latest Ducati V4 S superbike and the Lamborghini Revuelto hybrid supercar, making this bike a cross between the flagship models of both brands. This is the third time the two brands have collaborated in this manner, after the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini and Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini.

Just 630 examples of the Pangiale V4 Lamborghini will be released, all finished in carbon fibre with green and various shades of grey to provide a neat mix of stealth and sparkle. There will be 63 additional “Speciale Clienti” allotments of the bike, which certain owners will be invited to have coloured to match their Lamborghini car.

“When two unmistakable design languages meet, such as those of Lamborghini and Ducati, the result is the perfect expression of values such as our Italian spirit and beauty that set us apart,” said Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, points to the more holistic elements of the partnership. “With the Panigale V4 Lamborghini, the partnership between these two icons of Italy’s Motor Valley is enriched by a new chapter that confirms and reinforces the values that inspire us: Italian excellence, sportiness and performance, with a design that is always distinctive.”

Other unique Pangiale touches include special forged aluminium wheels styled to recall those seen on the Revuelto, as well as redesigned tail piece and wings to better reflect what’s seen on the Revuelto. The carbon fibre bits you see – on the heat shield, mudguards and elsewhere – are crafted from the same quality material that the Revuelto is; it may seem strange to call attention to that detail but during our visit to Lambo HQ, we learned that they produce their own carbon fibre and they take the process very seriously. To have it applied to this bike, then, is a pretty big deal

Power for the Pangiale V4 Lamborghini is rated at 218 horsepower, meaning a power-to-weight ratio of 1.18 hp/kg. Needless to say; in addition to looking like a Revuelto (which makes 1,015 hp of its own), the Pangiale V4 Lamborghini will surely be able to keep up with it as well.

Each bike will be delivered to its lucky owner in a customized wooden crate, and will also include a certificate of authenticity and specialized cover.
