Just Imagine: Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster

The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is a blood-stirring, heart-pounding, gravity-bound rocket ship that lights up the pavement with tire smoke and burned rubber at the mere flick of the ignition switch and firm right foot to the floor. It is accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 8.6 seconds and 0-300 km/h in 24 seconds. Top speed is rated at 350 km/h and braking from 100 km/h to zero takes just 30 m.

If that isn’t enough to wake up the neighbours, the Sant‘Agata Bolognese automaker offers the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce as a Roadster. All that power and an unlimited amount of blue skies ranks this as one of the most sought after exotics in the world. And there will only be 500 units available for purchase.

At the introduction earlier this year, then President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. Stephen Winkelmann stated, “The Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is the most pure, sports-oriented and emotional incarnation of a Lamborghini, and all 600 units have been sold, with the first deliveries starting now. We will also produce a roadster version, which our dealers worldwide are now taking orders for.”

The Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce in coupe form represents a significant increase in power and weight-saving when compared to the Aventador LP 700-4. A total of 50 horsepower and reduction in weight of 50 kg makes this two of the fastest sports coupes in the market. The roadster version adds approximately 50 kg for additional strength and body rigidity.

Powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine, it delivers 740 horsepower at 8,400 rpm and 507 lb.-ft. of torque at 5,500 rpm. Matched to a 7-speed IST transmission and equipped with electronically controlled four-wheel drive, three pre-set driving modes are available; Strada, Sport and Corsa. Pricing is stratospheric, but then it really doesn’t matter as all 500 have been spoken for.
