If you’re anything of a car addict and a video game aficionado, it is understood the Forza Motorsport racing game series has no secrets for you. There has been a long history of carmakers turning to popular video games to tease and even unveil new models, enough to make any fanboy or girl excited for what’s to come.
For example, a few years back, the new-generation Chevrolet Corvette was added to the PlayStation-exclusive Gran Turismo 5 line-up in full camo, months before its official launch on the market. This time, the latest Forza Motorsport game has been announced with a new surprise. Not only will Porsche vehicles now be included in the game, but we also got the very first (virtual) peek at the most powerful Porsche ever built before it comes to market: the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS.
Here’s what we know so far: it looks like a 911 and it’s got a wing. That is to say, besides the first images of the new 911 version being pulled from the game, no specs have been released to date. Some sources claim the model has been spied testing phase at the famed Nurbürgring, sporting a turbo engine producing something close to 700 horsepower. That would mean 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of oh, 330 km/h?
GT2 RS models are usually limited editions and short-lived in the showrooms, so if this is your dream car, you better keep an eye out. Or you can be budget-conscious and grab your copy of Forza Motorsport 7 for Xbox One coming October 3rd. Gas money can easily turn into chips and beer money. Let the games begin!
