A new generation of the Honda Accord is in the works and the maker is turning to YouTube to showcase the official launch.
The biggest change we see with the 10th generation Accord is the powertrain. The mid-size sedan will drop its V6 and instead receive a choice of two turbocharged powertrains. We can expect the 1.5L turbo introduced in the Honda Civic to find its way into the Accord, most likely teamed with the same transmissions, namely a six-speed manual and a CVT.
The second option should be a modified version of the Civic Type R’s 2.0L turbo engine with a class-first ten-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid powertrain will also remain an option.
Official images have yet to be revealed and all we have to work with is this teaser of the car’s front end. It promises a sophistication reminiscent of the brand’s luxury sister company, Acura. We don’t have long to wait however, the unveil will take place on July 14th, roughly two weeks from now.
