Honda vehicles are highly coveted for being reliable, practical and fun-to-drive. But do you ever wish they were just a little more back-country ready? Well the automaker is heeding the call with the introduction of TrailSport this fall.
This new special edition builds upon the experience from producing motorcycles, ATVs and side-by-sides, and is set to be applied to models built upon the Honda Global Light Truck platform — so think Passport and Ridgeline, among others.
Expect body enhancements such as the addition of durable body cladding, as well as interior upgrades like high-contrast orange stitching and exclusive all-weather floor mats, and a cool logo badge inspired by the beauty of nature and the spirit of exploration.
“TrailSport will be the embodiment of Honda’s next chapter, to bring more tough and rugged capabilities to our light trucks,” says Steve Hui, Honda Canada assistant vice president, in a news release. “TrailSport has the ruggedness and exclusive styling that will be popular with consumers seeking adventure, on road or off, and for those looking for increased toughness in their vehicles.”
Combined with the company’s i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system, and extras expected in the future including all-terrain tires, full-size spare, increased ground clearance, and off-road-tuned suspension, drivers should be able to tackle all-new challenges and environments.
