A refreshed Cadillac CT5 has hit the market for the 2025 model year and as impressive as the revised exterior styling may be, the most impressive feature for me was only appreciated when you sit down inside this luxury sedan.

The brand’s 33-inch diagonal LED colour touchscreen display is extraordinary and just elevates the interior’s look and feel.
Also new for 2025 is a Google built-in infotainment system and new safety features.
As tested, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 Premium Luxury AWD had a price tag of $69,979, which includes $625 for the Wave Metallic (blue) paint, as well as the Radiant Package that adds 20-inch wheels and a bright grille.
The Platinum package was also added, with a long list of features that includes a head-up display, a camera rearview mirror, Interior colour Sedona Sauvage with jet black accents with carbon fibre trim, Body-colour heated, power-adjustable, power-folding outside mirrors with driver-side auto-dimming, puddle lamps and memory, adaptive forward lighting and more.

Powertrain: The CT5 has two available options when you opt for the Premium Luxury model, the most powerful being a twin-turbo V6.
The standard engine is no slouch in any way though.
The 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired to a modern 10-speed automatic transmission, delivers 237 horsepower and 238 pound-feet of torque.
While the extra 100 horses from the V6 would certainly be enjoyable, the as-tested setup delivers good power and plenty of driving enjoyment. And with the need for premium fuel, I was thankful for not having a V6 under the hood.

While the estimated fuel efficiency number is a combined 9.6 litres per 100 kilometres, my as-tested average was 11.3 L/100 km.
Exterior: For 2025, the CT5 receives a new and bolder front-end design, including a lower and wider front grille flanked by Cadillac’s signature vertical lighting and LED headlamps.
This luxury sedan is stylish and sleek, and I believe the extra cost of the Wave Metallic blue paint on our tester is well worth it.

The optional 20-inch wheels and bright grille as part of the option packages on our tester additional features that further enhance the curb appeal of the CT5.
Interior: When you slip behind the wheel, the first thing that strikes you is the large LED screen that dominates the dash.
Acting as both a digital gauge cluster and infotainment screen, it is a thing of beauty.
Our tester featured semi-aniline leather seating in Sedona Sauvage, otherwise known as brown. While normally I wouldn’t like this choice, for a Cadillac it just seems to work.

The CT5 features heated and cooled front seats, as well as a heated steering wheel.
The cabin is whisper quiet, and quite comfortable for front and rear passengers. Although I did find headroom could be limited in the back, especially for taller occupants.
Infotainment: The infotainment system features a built-in Google interface, including Android Auto, but is also compatible with Apple CarPlay.
The user interface for the system is very intuitive and you have the ability to control is through the touchscreen functionality or physical controls.
It also features all the niceties that consumers now want, including satellite radio, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless device charging and more.
Drive: Despite having the smaller of the two available engines on the CT5, the was plenty of fun to be had behind the wheel.
Power delivery is smooth, and the transmission does a great job of handling it all.
Steering feels light and crisp, while the sedan always seems well planted and confident during quick turns. The ride is very comfortable overall, which is what you would expect from a luxury sedan. Overall, the CT5 delivers an enjoyable experience both for the driver and passengers.
Conclusion: The CT5 faces some serious competition in its segment.
The changes made for 2025 will go a long way to ensuring it is in the conversation for anyone in the market for a luxury sedan.
The exterior enhancements make a good impression, but it’s the cabin and driving experience that will convince people to get behind the wheel of this Cadillac.
