2025 Cadillac CT5-V
If the refreshed CT5-V Blackwing isn’t saucy enough for you, Cadillac is introducing a Precision Package for the 2025 model year giving the luxury sports sedan even more track-focused performance.
The option includes recalibrated Magnetic Ride dampers, electronic limited slip differential and camber alignment, stiffer spring and bushing rates, new rear toe links and front steering knuckles and carbon ceramic brakes. The company says these enhancements sharpen steering precision into the apex, increases cornering exit stability and provide better road feel overall.
Production of the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing with the Precision Package begins in early 2025.
2025 Ford Maverick
Rather than simply a cosmetic facelift, the arrival of the 2025 Ford Maverick brings with it eagerly-anticipated all-wheel drive for the hybrid model.
Available on XL, XLT and Lariat grades, this addition not only gives partially-electrified compact pickup extra traction but hauling capability as well via the 4K Tow Package allowing a maximum payload of 1,500 pounds.
The truck now wears smoked LED headlamps and a redesigned front bumper and grilles unique to trim levels, while on the inside a 13.2-inch touchscreen display replaces the outgoing eight-inch unit. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also gain wireless functionality. Prices start at
$34,500 MSRP.
2025 GMC Terrain
GMC has finally unveiled the third-generation Terrain, the compact SUV emerging very truck-like and with more space and tech.
Similar to the Sierra, small C-shaped LED headlights connect to a big blocky grille. The bottom corners of the frame sweep out towards the lower foglights creating a visually distinctive element. For the first time, buyers can opt for a two-tone roof in black or grey. In the cabin, a 15-inch infotainment display (capable of showing up to eight camera views) and an 11-inch digital instrument cluster are standard.
The Elevation model, riding on 17-inch wheels, is set to arrive before the year is out, before being joined in 2025 by the rugged AT4 variant and the premium Denali. A 1.5 turbocharged inline-four engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, propels all Terrains sending 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque to both axels. Towing capacity is rated at 1,500 pounds.
VinFast VF 3
Though the VinFast VF 3 may not be arriving to North America for another couple of years, customers in Vietnam are starting to receive the initial deliveries of the mini zero emissions SUV.
This four-passenger two-door boasts a wheelbase of 2,075 millimetres and 191 millimetres of ground clearance for travel over different types of terrain and generates a humble 43 horsepower and 81 lb-ft of torque from the rear-mounted electric motor. An 18.6-kilowatt-hour battery yields up to 215 kilometres on a single charge.
VinFast expects to produce “at least” 20,000 VF 3s for the Vietnamese domestic market.
BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3
BF Goodrich has just released the All-Terrain T/A KO3 CUV, SUV and truck tire, serving as a successor to the wildly-popular KO2.
Entering its third gen, the new KO — which stands for “key off-road” — utilizes a fresh tread pattern that improves wear resistance and gravel road durability, and a serrated shoulder design and raised “Mud-Phobic” bars promoting mud and snow traction. The signature strong sidewalls are courtesy of an extra tough Baja-racing-derived rubber compound dubbed “Coregard Technology,” and are specially constructed to prevent foreign object damage.
Currently offered in 33 sizes, the BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 is in stores now. Additional fitments will be rolled out over the next 24 months.
