2024 Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Carbon Edition
The refreshed 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is a stunner in its own right, but a new Carbon Edition spices things up even further.
Aesthetically, the limited trim adds a carbon fibre V scudetto grille, side mirror caps and door sills, gold brake calipers, staggered 21-inch dark 5-hole alloy wheels and black badging. Paint options are Vulcano Black or Rosso Etna (red). Inside, there’s exclusive red leather sport seats, carbon fibre accents and a Harmon Kardon premium stereo.
Under the body is the manufacturer’s 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, generating 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, and Alfa Adaptive Suspension featuring automatic damping according to road conditions. The Carbon Edition is sold in North America only and retails for MSRP $110,445.
IVECO BUS E-WAY H2
IVECO (Industrial Vehicles Corporation) and Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) has just announced the first E-WAY H2 zero-emissions bus.
The 12-metre-long, low-floor city bus utilizes a hydrogen fuel cell system developed by HMC subsidiary HTWO comprised of a 310-kilowatt electric motor, four tanks and a FPT Industrial 69-kilowatt-hour battery. Together, the system provides a driving range of approximately 450 kilometres.
Interestingly, the powertrain allows for both hydrogen refueling and plug-in battery charging increasing efficiency and durability. The commercial vehicle will be produced at the IVECO BUS factories in Annonay, France and Foggia, Italy.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV
The EQS 680 SUV represents the Mercedes-Maybach’s initial entry into the ultra-luxury pure EV space.
Though based on the standard EQS, nearly everything has been elevated to the next level. For example, the two-tone exterior colour, the completely solid black panel grille concealing various radar sensors, chrome-plated filigree (intricate metalwork) front bumper louvres featuring all-over Maybach logos, significantly upgraded sound-deadening, vegetable-tanned leather, airplane business-class inspired rear passenger area and much more.
Two electric motors create a net 649 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque and all-wheel drive, and a full charge yields a total travel distance of up to 600 kilometres. Pricing is TBA but expect a starting price of around $250,000.
Jeep Expands Badge Of Honor Program
Jeep Badge of Honor is an app and online community helping off-road enthusiasts discover routes across Canada and the United States to drive and earn cool hard badges they can stick on their rides by doing so. And now, the program is further improved.
Six new trails are added, expanding the catalogue to 68, which are located in Pennsylvania, Arkansas and Missouri. Users are able to check out highlights, difficulty ratings, photos, and download the maps right to the Uconnect 5 infotainment to be displayed on the 12.3-inch high-resolution screen. Once loaded, the turn-by-turn directions even notes obstacles and points of interest along the way.
