2023 Genesis Electrified GV70
The third product to join the Genesis zero-emissions lineup is the Electrified GV70, which goes on sale in the first half of 2023.
Leaning heavily on the design of the gasoline version, there are differentiating features like the reverse G-Matrix grille that hides the charging port, a cleaner-looking body-coloured rear bumper without exhaust cut-outs and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior utilizes materials made from recycled plastic while continuing to offer a certain level of luxury like Nappa leather upholstery, and a 14-way power adjustable massaging driver’s seat.
Dual electric motors produce 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque — an additional 54 horses is available for up to 10 seconds via a special Boost mode — and a high-capacity 77.4 kilowatt-hour battery allows a travel range somewhere in the neighbourhood of 450 kilometres. Stay tuned for further updates.
Ram 1500 TRX Gold Shot Concept
In late October Mopar teased a trio of concept vehicles that were recently unveiled at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, which included the Ram 1500 TRX Gold Shot Concept catering towards motocross enthusiasts.
Built upon the 702-horsepower supertruck, the loud Satin Bitter Yellow/Satin Black two-tone exterior wears large TRX graphics running across the side and is complemented by big 18×9.5-inch Black Rhino Chamber wheels shod in 37-inch BFGoodrich tires. A Mopar bed step lowers to provide easy access to motorcycles in the back, and a RamBar accessory bar boasts a pair of ultra-bright 14-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights to help see in the dark. Custom laser-etched skid plates protect the underside.
Alaska Gold stitching and accents add a little extra flair to the cabin, as does the Capri leather and perforated Alcantara-covered sport seats complete with Mopar logos on the shoulder bolster.
2023 Honda Pilot
The fourth-generation Pilot moves in a rugged direction not only stylistically but functionally as well now offering an optional TrailSport variant.
Rather than resembling an Odyssey as its predecessor did, the all-new model has a squared-off aesthetic. Measuring 86 millimetres longer than before, the wheelbase is also extended 2,891 millimetres to smooth out the ride, and a wider track improves stability. Propelling the SUV is still a 3.5-litre V6 engine, however this time making 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, mated to a fresh 10-speed automatic transmission.
Upgrading to the TrailSport bundles a lifted off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, thick steel skid plates and more.
