Volvo continues its push for new products with the debut of the all-new V90 Cross Country. According to the Swedish automaker, this completes the successful and highly-attractive V90 family of automobiles.
No longer the safety first- style second automaker of yesteryear, Volvo is on a serious roll these days and sees no reason to stop launching the exceptionally designed and technologically advanced automobiles consumers demand.
“The V90 Cross Country takes the elegance of the V90 and transforms it into an all-road car that delivers safety, comfort and performance in a capable and adventurous package,” said Håkan Samuelsson, President & CEO, Volvo Car Group.
Volvo builds on their passion for rugged, off-road capability with each new Cross Country model. But rugged doesn’t mean roughing it and occupants of their latest creation are swathed in luxury.
Bowers & Wilkins provides the high-end audio sound and connectivity, leather covers the seats, dash and door panels while vehicle control and safety first remains the building block of this and every Volvo automobile. Bring on the bad weather; this V90 is ready for anything.
“Designing a Volvo Cross Country is not a styling exercise, a plastic job. It is based on honest capability. The Volvo V90 Cross Country brings a surprising and intriguing combination of a strong, powerful exterior and a luxurious, Scandinavian interior. It will continue the genuine tradition of the Volvo Cross Country with a new recipe: The blend of powerful off-road capability in a most elegant, sophisticated, tailored wagon suit,” said Thomas Ingenlath, Senior Vice President Design at Volvo Cars.
Volvo states the V90 Cross Country was unveiled during a simultaneous reveal in Sweden, Switzerland and the United States. The Cross Country is expected to arrive in Canada during the first quarter of 2017.
